The Rev. Canon George Hill stepped forward to serve Christ Church Cathedral as priest associate during a critical time of transition in 2013. His leadership provided the congregation the direction needed to move forward. The cathedral’s new dean, the Very Rev. Gail Greenwell, asked that George then continue to serve the cathedral as canon for development.
Prior to coming to the cathedral, George faithfully served the parish of St. Barnabas, the church he built in Montogmery at the request of Bishop William Black in 1980.
George and his wife, Amy, reside in Montgomery, where he serves as a chaplain for the Montgomery police and fire departments. He is also a chaplain for the F.B.I.
