Overview

Music is an integral part of who we are at Christ Church Cathedral. When we gather for worship, we sing together exuberantly as a congregation; our choirs offer a variety of superb literature from the Anglican cathedral tradition and beyond; and our wide range of musical instruments gives voice to emotions ranging from exuberant praise to deep lament.

We also participate in the rich cultural life of Cincinnati, offering weekly Music Live at Lunch performances and other concerts.

Other beloved traditions in our musical life include services of Choral Evensong, an annual performance of Benjamin Britten’s Ceremony of Carols, a Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols on the Sunday before Christmas and the popular Boar’s Head and Yule Log Festival.

Be a Part of the Music: Volunteer!

There are many exciting music events coming up for our 2016-17 program year, ranging from Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra performances at the cathedral to a concert by the Central State University Chorus. If you’d like to join the more than 20 people who helped last year, please let Merrilee Atkins know of your interest. She’ll help you identify an event that you’d enjoy.
