Meet Phoenix Wilson
Phoenix Wilson has been a certified yoga instructor for over 10 years. Her studies in yoga include various styles, although she primarily focuses on the practices of Iyengar and Anusara. In addition, she is a certified Ta’i Chi Chih instructor, which she has taught since 1996. She holds a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education from Northern Kentucky University (2003).
Phoenix continued to expand her knowledge in yoga, tai chi, and meditation practices while teaching English in Japan for three years. She sees yoga as a timeless system of self-care that invites students to explore their physical, mental, and spiritual aspects while gaining strength, suppleness, and balance.
Her classes cultivate healthy body alignment, positive flow of energy in the body, and a more peaceful and open heart by combining diverse styles of movement for the creation of a fully integrated practice.
“When I step off my yoga mat or finish my daily meditation, I feel ready to begin my day more awake, more present, able to take moments to listen, to be present, and to connect to the life force that is within and all around us. In doing so, the day becomes clearer, less obstructed by the busy mind, more alive in the body and joyful in the heart,” says Phoenix. “What I hope to offer my students is the ability to experience life in this deeper, richer way both on and off the yoga mat.
