A Ballot Initiative To Fund The City’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund
Since the 1980s, Cincinnati’s homeless numbers have grown, while the city has steadily lost affordable housing units. A recent study showed an affordable housing deficit amounting to 40,000 units in both the city and the surrounding county. In 2019, Advocates For Affordable Housing worked with the Cincinnati City Council to establish an Affordable Housing Trust Fund. At this Community Issues Forum, John E, Schrider, director of the Legal Aid Society of Southwest Ohio, and Peg Fox, director of the Metropolitan Area Religious Coalition of Cincinnati (MARCC), outline the details behind this proposal.
All forums conclude with time for questions and comments from the audience.
Lunch can be purchased for $6.50, or you can bring your own.
