Sunday Forum: Faces of Addiction
January 6 @ 11:30 am - 12:00 pm
Presenter: Eric K. Hatch, Ph.D., founder, Faces of Addiction, Inc.
Millions of Americans are trapped in a cycle of drug abuse and addiction. In 2013, over 24 million people reported that they had abused illicit drugs or prescription medication in one month’s time. During the previous year (2012), more than 1.7 million were admitted to treatment programs for substance abuse.
As a prelude to the upcoming Faces of Addiction exhibition slated for January 16 through February 28 in Gallery South, Eric Hatch provides insight into our nation’s drug epidemic. His is a ministry designed to bring to light the many who are afflicted.
A drug habit can cost people everything – their family, their friends, their home, their livelihood. And nowhere is that impact more evident than in the faces of addicts themselves. Faces of Addiction is a project to enable compassion.
