Mary Lynn Woebkenberg
I have many years of experience in management, supervision, and planning with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). I directed the CDC’s Division of Applied Research and Technology. I am quite organized and work very well in a team environment.
At the cathedral, I have served multiple years on annual appeal committee, the grants committee, and the hospitality guild. I also serve as an acolyte, a chalice bearer, and a Music Live@Lunch provider.
Elsewhere, I volunteered at Habitat for Humanity for several years. I serve as a volunteer driver for the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, and am on the committee to plan the fiftieth reunion of our high school graduating class from Mount Notre Dame High School.
At the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), a major area of work was the demilitarization of chemical weaponry. I was responsible for the health and safety of the personnel responsible for executing this task.
In the future, I am interested in seeing the cathedral grow in the numbers of worshippers who regularly attend the Sunday liturgy, in the numbers of parishioners who pledge to support the cathedral’s outreach programs, and in the numbers of parishioners who volunteer to serve on the cathedral’s various committees in support of our ministries. Additionally, I would like to see efforts made to ensure that relationships between cathedral family members, regardless of the worship service they attend, are strengthened and sustained.
