Do you love to sing but have a schedule that precludes participating in the Cathedral Choir? Then join the Christ Church Singers for a one-time commitment! We’ll rehearse 7:00-8:30 pm on Wednesday, March 13, and sing during 10:00 am worship on Sunday, March 17, with a 9:00 am pre-service rehearsal. If you are already on the Christ Church Singers roster, reply to this invitation via MSP software. If you have not sung with Christ Church Singers before, reply to Stephan Casurella by email or phone (513-842-2065) with your name, contact information and voice part. We must hear of your interest by Sunday, March 10.
Become a part of our great cathedral music tradition by becoming a Friend of Music. Your donation will be dedicated to special concerts, commissioned works, and other musical projects not supported by the cathedral’s music operating budget. Contribute online or mail a donation to the attention of Friends of Music, c/o the cathedral. (Make checks payable to Christ Church Cathedral and write “Friends of Music” on the memo line.) For more information, contact Stephan Casurella.
If you would like to learn how you could be part of the music, contact Merrilee Atkins to volunteer.
Music is an integral part of who we are at Christ Church Cathedral. When we gather for worship, we sing together exuberantly as a congregation; our choirs offer a variety of superb literature from the Anglican cathedral tradition and beyond; and our wide range of musical instruments gives voice to emotions ranging from exuberant praise to deep lament.
Other beloved traditions in our musical life include services of Choral Evensong, an annual performance of Benjamin Britten’s Ceremony of Carols, a Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols on the Sunday before Christmas and the popular Boar’s Head and Yule Log Festival.
