The Noon Service

"Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest... learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."
- Matthew 11:28-29 (NRSV)

Desiring to connect with a faith community that is exploring what it means to be a follower of Jesus?

Try the Noon Service this Sunday.

The Noon Service liturgy is rooted in the beauty and simplicity of the Episcopal tradition. This hour-long worship gathering combines prayer, silence, music, scripture, and discussion. We sing ancient hymn texts set to evocative, timeless music prepared and led by local songwriters; we reflect on and discuss holy scripture; we pray for the needs of the world, and we share a simple Eucharistic feast using wine and home-baked bread.

People who have participated in worship have commented on the welcome, the sense of intimacy and community, the richness of conversation, and the sense of reverence and playfulness. People have found their faith strengthened for the journey and a new understanding of what it means to be a Christian.

Families with Children

In this multi-generational service, youth, and children of all ages are encouraged to participate fully in worship with their family, friends, and loved ones. We also provide activities in the children's corner every week which directly correspond with the readings of the day. If a nursery setting makes more sense for your family, ours is open during the service providing a nurturing Waldorf-style classroom for children ages birth – 6yrs old.

Stay for Lunch

One of the things that makes the Noon Service unique is the opportunity to build community. After each service, the Noon Service attendees gather for lunch immediately after service. It is in this space that you can meet people, share your story, and have meaningful conversations.
