St. Francis of Assisi, whose feast day is October 4, is beloved as the patron saint of animals.
To celebrate St. Francis’s love of animals and all creation, we will offer blessings to animals on Saturday at our 5:00 pm Eucharist and on Sunday during the 10:00 am and 12:00 pm services.
Animals and their human companions are welcome to worship together on this day. We ask that animals be non-aggressive and properly controlled (i.e., leashed, crated, and/or in their preferred environment, such as a hamster cage or fish bowl).
If you prefer to worship with only human companionship, there will be no animal blessings at the Sunday 8:00 am Eucharist or the Sunday 5:00 pm Choral Evensong.
