Mission: To create a more sustainable and equitable future for all by mobilizing our moral voice to reduce the risk of catastrophic climate change and environmental injustice.
Vision: Christ Church Cathedral will integrate a care for creation in our lives, society, and church operations.
Purpose: In Jesus, God so loved the whole world. We follow Jesus, so we love the world God loves. Concerned about the global climate emergency and drawing from a range of approaches for our diverse contexts, the Creation Care and Environmental Justice Ministry commits to forming and restoring loving, liberating, and life-giving relationships with all of Creation.
The Creation Care and Environmental Justice Ministry works to align itself with The Episcopal Church’s Vision for Creation Care and its resolutions (Environment) as well as the Diocese Of Southern Ohio resolutions. Locally, the Christ Church Cathedral CCEJ ministry will work collaboratively to meet the City of Cincinnati’s “Green Cincinnati Plan” goals and objectives and be an active participant in Faith Communities Go Green.
